Before computers were affordable, most embroidery was completed by "punching" designs on paper tape that then ran through a mechanical embroidery machine. One error could ruin an entire design, forcing the creator to start over, this is how the term "punching" came to be used in relation to digitizing embroidery designs. We started embroidery punching when traditional jacquard embroidery could only read paper tape punched with holes, this is how our name Best Punching came to be used. Now we use Wilcom ES, Pro design 2000 etc software to digitize. Embroidery and technology is evolving, keeping learning and improving is the course we take along with our digitizing business.
